Is Lindsay Lohan a Diamond Thief?

From nearly losing millions in jewelry during a trip to Italy to allegedly walking off with $500,000 in diamonds this week, Lindsay Lohan has a checkered past when it comes to shiny substances.

The missing diamond jewels were used in an Elle Magazine photo shoot at London's Big Sky Studios on June 6th and are believed to have disappeared right around the same time Lohan left the shoot.

Gossip columns across the pond are having a field day with the story and report that the actress was overheard asking if she could keep the necklace and earrings. The studio has apparently reached out to Lohan's camp but was forced to report the issue to Scotland Yard when they didn't get a response after two weeks.

In 2007, Lindsay was accused of stealing samples from another fashion house during a magazine photo shoot. A source told the New York Post,

"Louis Vuitton had sent over some samples for her to wear in the shoot. Lindsay kept shoving the clothes into her bag, and a stylist's assistant kept getting them out of the bag, only to have Lindsay keep trying to take them."

"She ended up walking off with a very expensive shirt and some other items."

Lohan's camp is now claiming this is a big misunderstanding and the Mean Girls actress will cooperate fully with the investigation. To be continued...

Lindsay isn't the only celebrity accused of swiping jewelry swag. Click here to find out what other child star 'misplaced' her loaner jewels. A hint: this isn't the first time she's been accused of 'sticky finger syndrome'.
