Real Housewife's Jewelry Line Goes Legit

It seems another celebrity launches a jewelry line every minute these days, from Nicole Richie and Tori Spelling to Paula Abdul and Celine Dion. The latest star to enter the fray is Real Housewives of New York star, Kelly Bensimon, who - for those who didn't watch the show - came off like a chronically late, know-it-all model type who was oh- so-above-it-all.

Bensimon, the ex wife of famous photographer and Elle creative director, Gilles Bensimon, tells W Magazine that while she doesn't have jewelry design experience, she credits her mother, extensive traveling and her ex who '...always really, really, really pushed accessories' with her jewelry know-how.

So what kind of jewels can we expect from the socialite, who collaborated with bling magnate Mouawad for the collection?

"I love Navajo and I love the idea of taking Pocahontas out of the kayak and putting her into the disco," Kelly told W.

"Everyone knows that she's had enough in her little canoe and now she's out and having fun in the disco. It's the idea that it's Navajo, but also it's pavé and really, pavé that's my forte. I love bling. I love understated flashy."

The extensive line of fashion necklaces, cuffs, earrings and rings retail in the recession-friendly range of $32 to $336 and hits stores including Kitson and Intermix in two weeks.

And for all you Real Housewives fans, Bensimon has confirmed that she has signed on to annoy millions for a second season.
