The world's most famous supermodel is crossing off jewelry designer from her glittering resume.
Heidi
Klum is 'out' - of the jewelry business, that is. After enduring well-funded
lawsuits against her
clover-inspired
line, she recently confessed to the Los Angeles Times that she's
decided to throw in the towel.
Klum launched the line five years ago with celebrity jeweler, Mouawad with the gems making a grand appearance on QVC a year later. She explained at the time that her inspiration for the collection was based on a four-leaf clover pattern she observed when touring churches in Milan, Italy.
Van Cleef & Arpels begged to differ.
"They wanted to have the clover, even though our designs had never matched...I don't know how many designs I had done in five years, maybe 800 different designs - but they just wanted to own the clover motif."
The LA Times report added that Klum is looking for new licensing agreements for her jewelry. To be continued.
In the meantime, the wait is almost over for Project Runway fans. The new season debuts on August 20th on Lifetime.
