MTV VMAs Bring out the Bling

Statement earrings, metallics and minis ruled the VMAs last night, with Beyonce sporting a whopping $1 million in diamond ice. Kanye West can't spoil this party.
Diamonds dripped, hoop earrings swirled and metallic minis shimmered on the red carpet of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City last night. Beyonce rocked a little red dress with a reported $1 million in Lorraine Schwartz designer diamonds, including over-sized earrings and a series of layered cuffs.
Alicia Keys hooped it up with huge statement earrings to complement her Dolce & Gabbana sequined dress, Jennifer Lopez went classic in Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings and a Louis Vuitton mini, and Pink rocked it with geometric Sierra diamond earrings and a Balmain metallic number that (gasp!) singer, Shakira, also wore on the red carpet! The horror!
The big fashion winner, despite being upstaged by yet another Kanye West outburst, was country music phenom, Taylor Swift, who looked stunning in a Kaufman Franco beaded gown and Lorraine Schwartz diamond shoulder dusters to die for. She could easily walk the Oscar carpet in that get up.
Not so stunning? Lady Gaga in a wacky Jean-Paul Gaultier frock with a bejeweled neck brace and Kermit the Frog as her date. At least she gives us great fodder for Halloween costume ideas.
