The Golden Globes brought out Hollywood's best last night, and the jewelry fashion ran the gamut from barely-there to bling-a-licious baubles.
Dramatic statement necklaces were a no-show this year with the ladies opting instead for earring jaw-droppers. Julianne Moore dazzled in Bulgari emerald earrings; Glee's Lea Michele followed suit in Chopard emerald drops; and Courtney Cox bedazzled in black sapphire teardrops by Ofira Schwartz. Tasseled and triumphant were Kate Hudson in Stephen Russell diamonds and pearls, and the divine Meryl Streep in a yellow gold interpretation.

Diamond jewelry ruled the red carpet over color this year (despite rumors to the contrary), with A-listers like Drew Barrymore in 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond studs, Jennifer Garner in Bulgari diamond drops, Penelope Cruz in 42 carats of Chopard, Rose Byrne in a vintage flower Neil Lane hairpiece, and Mo'Nique in Everlon Diamond Knot drop earrings and a 15-carat Everlon Diamond Knot pave diamond circle link bracelet.

Fashions were flirty and ruffled with purples, peaches and pinks making their mark as the colors of choice.
Yet despite the glamorous occasion, big names like Jennifer Aniston, Amy Adams and Julia Roberts all failed to impress with their yawn-inducing choices (is this a dinner party or the Golden Globes?), and ladies like Mariah Carey and Halle Berry could have used a visit from the 'less-is-more' police. Yikes.
