The 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards jewelry fashion proved to be the red carpet's most unique display so far this awards season.

With jewel-toned gowns providing the stunning backdrop, colorful gems made an appearance in unique combinations. Enter the divine Diane Kruger in butterscotch Jason Wu with ruby Harry Winston earrings and bangles, Meryl Streep in a Balenciaga print with Fred Leighton emerald earrings, and Nicole Kidman in Oscar de la Renta and a yellow gold and ruby statement necklace - also by Fred Leighton.

Traditional diamond divas took a backseat to stars who used the bling in unique ways this time around, including Kate Hudson in a startling backless Emilio Pucci look with a diamond sautoir necklace worn down her back and briolette diamond and baguette diamond drop earrings - a $1.75 million ice fest from Cartier all told.
Not to be outdone, fellow Nine star, Marion Cotillard used a $1 million diamond and emerald necklace to tie up her side-swept tresses, and a glowing Christina Applegate wore a jaw-dropping Lorraine Schwartz diamond flower hairpiece to offset her powder blue Roberto Cavali dress.
Teardrop shapes continue to be red hot, with Mad Men diva, Christina Hendricks, rocking a pair of rose-cut diamond earrings by Irit, and fellow SAG nominees, Julia Louis Dreyfuss and Edie Falco following suit with their own interpretations.
Be sure to check out all the other SAG jewelry stars on the Jewelry.com Facebook Fan Page - including Sandra Bullock in barely-there bling, Tina Fey in unique moonstone drops and one actress who wore a necklace so hideous, we're not sure she got dressed with the lights on. Eek!
