'Sex And The City' Jewelry Announced

Move over Manolos, Dogeared Jewels and Gifts is giving 'Sex And the City' fans another way to be fashionista fabulous.

Jewelry lines inspired by hit movies are all the rage these days, with Where the Wild Things Are, Twilight: New Moon and the upcoming Alice in Wonderland leading the way. Now Dogeared Jewels and Gifts is joining the party with an exclusive license from HBO Films to create a jewelry line inspired by the fashion-friendly franchise, Sex And The City.

While fans have to wait until May to see Sex and the City 2, they can grab glittering necklace charms inspired by the show in the guise of a diamond, a stiletto and the Eiffel Tower, among others.

The charms will be presented on message cards printed with the New York City skyline and some of the four main characters' most memorable lines, including: "Single and fabulous!," "Hopeless romantic," "I've been dating since I was fifteen. I'm exhausted. Where is he?," and the iconic: "Should I get you a diamond? No, just a really big closet."

Retail prices will range from $55 to $200, and each piece will be wrapped with a SATC signature black and pink satin pouch.

"Our strength is creating themed product concepts," Marcia Maizel-Clark, Dogeared's founder, said in a media release.

"Given our fashion orientation, we believe we have brought the correct tone and point of view to this licensed line. Sex and the City continues to have an incredible impact on fashion."

Beginning this spring, the necklaces will be available at the HBO Shop in New York City and online at www.hbo.com, as well as select retailers listed on Dogeared's website: www.dogeared.com. Stay tuned!
