Diamond Dress Dazzles in Miami

A dress made of diamonds and gold will make its debut this weekend during Miami Fashion Week - oh, and the price tag has six zeros if you're counting.

Eat your heart out. Designer Jad Ghandour of Danasha Luxury has created 'the
ultimate red carpet gown' featuring a silvery fabric and a special handset made
of
diamonds
and 18kt gold.
The fabulous frock will make its debut on March 20th at Miami International Fashion Week, but for now it's being kept under lock and key due to the staggering $1.5 million price tag.
"Our aim wasn't to just throw diamonds and gold together and call it a 'diamond gown'" Ghandour's design team told Stylelist. "We wanted to create a masterpiece - a gown that would highlight the finest materials without looking overwrought and costume-y."
An as-yet-unnamed celebrity will be the lucky lady to strut her stuff in the glamorous gown. For a look at both the final product and the celeb who gets to sashay in the stash, check back with our Jewelry Insider blog on the 20th.
