A Diamond Tiara Tickled Pink

Paris Hilton? Eat your heart out. A rare pink diamond tiara is on display at one of London's most prestigious ware fairs.

Pink diamonds have been coveted by jewelry lovers for decades, and there is one remarkable place on earth that's responsible for most of them - The Argyle Diamond Mine in Western Australia.

This week their luxurious Argyle Pink Diamond Tiara was on display in the Asprey showcase at London's tony Masterpiece Fair 2010, where some of the world's most coveted items can be observed.

According to a release, 178 Argyle pink diamonds make up the haute headgear that showcases the appeal of these rare gems,

"The Argyle Pink Diamond Tiara combines the mystique and romance of a bygone era with the design of a contemporary treasure. This is truly a unique piece that showcases beautifully the colors, sizes and shapes of rare pink diamonds from the Argyle mine," explained John Glajz in the release, authorized partner of Argyle.

Celebrity fans of pink diamond jewels include Mariah Carey and Ellen DeGeneres - both known for their incredible pink diamond engagement rings. And while natural pink diamond jewelry from the Argyle mine is extremely rare, there are many affordable enhanced pink diamond jewels available at more reasonable price points.
