The Bachelorette Returns The Bling

Jillian Harris returns her reality show diamond ring now that the honeymoon with Ed Swiderski is over - or never really began.

Diamond engagement rings come and diamond engagement rings go when it comes to The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise on ABC. And in Jillian Harris' case? Another one bites the dust.

Like Vienna Girardi who was asked to turn in the engagement ring she got when proposed to by pilot and 'Dancer With the Stars', Jake Pavelka, The Bachelorette season 5 star is also required to give up the $60,000 ring she received now that her relationship is over.

Jillian crushed the reality show fans' hope to be the only successful Bachelorette after Trista Rehn when she announced earlier this week that she is temporarily separated from Ed Swiderski.

"I love him and I'm really sad, but I have to look out for me," said Jillian who decided to move back to her parents' house in Canada.

Her Neil Lane-designed diamond ring has a 2.05 pear-shaped center stone surrounded by six baguette-cut diamonds. Harris is not allowed to keep the jewel because she has only been with Ed for 13 months - short of ABC's two-year minimum.

Will this season's Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky, find love and a permanent diamond on her ring finger? It's getting down to the wire, but our guess is: her diamond days are numbered.
