Kanye West Flashes Diamond Teeth

Kanye West shocked the world this month by baring an entire row of bottom teeth that are real diamond duplicates. Huh?

Kanye West may be a musical genius and a jewelry statement-maker, but his latest antic has us wondering if his synapses are firing on all cylinders.

The music megastar recently went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show flashing his pearly whites - and a bottom row of teeth made entirely out of diamonds.

This isn't your run-of-the-mill diamond grill a la Lil Wayne, folks. Nope. He claims the teeth have been replaced entirely with diamond dentures.

"You ripped all those teeth out and put in that?" an incredulous DeGeneres asked.

"I just thought the diamonds were cooler," West replied. "I guess there's just certain stuff that rock stars are supposed to do."

According to our blogger, Jewelry Insider, he tweeted about his blingy bicuspids back in July when he had the procedure done and posted the twitpics to prove it (click here for more).

"No seriously... I said my teeth are real diamonds... these are not fronts... I replaced my bottom row of teeth with diamonds."

But today's bling-obsessed hip hop stars aren't the only folks who decorate their dentures. One museum uncovered skeletons with gemstone encrusted teeth dating back 2500 years!
