23 Karat Gold Tennessee Williams Volume Produced

Bookbinding and printing company Librix Continuum is to release a three-play collectors' edition of Tennessee Williams' works. The Tennessee edition, a limited run of 1,500 copies, will be hand-bound with Florentine book calf and hand tooled in 23 karat gold.

The edition, which contains Williams' recently discovered play, These are the Stairs You Got to Watch, The Glass Menagerie and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, will be presented to The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival's 20th anniversary on April 1.

Librix will donate 20 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the $4,000 first editions to the New Orleans Literary Institute K.A.R.E.S (Katrina Arts Relief and Emergency Support) Fund.

Librix Continuum was founded by David Bruce Smith and aims "to advance the book arts as a vital contemporary art form."
